12 Add-ins That Enhance Your Coffee

I. Salt

A pinch of salt can help to reduce the coffee bitterness by blocking the taste buds responsible for it, delivering you a lightly smoother coffee experience. Add a pinch of regular table salt or a fancy pink Himalayan salt next time you drink Americano to enhance its flavor.


II .Cinnamon

According to the Huffington Post, cinnamon combined with caffeine is believed to give an extra energy boost. Use ground cinnamon to enhance the coffee flavor without adding sugar or other food additives. Stir in a pinch of ground cinnamon or add a cinnamon stick to your cup to make

your coffee taste just a bit sweeter.


III .Vanilla

If you enjoy coffee with vanilla sugar syrup but worry about you sugar intake and extra calories that come with the syrup. Then next time add a few drops of pure vanilla extract in your coffee to naturally sweeten it a little bit. Vanilla essence is sugar-free and it will enhance your coffee experience with the aroma and the overall flavor of the vanilla.


IV .Cardamon

Cardamon coffee or Turkish (Israeli) coffee has a distinctive floral and spice aroma and is not only going to make your coffee taste exotic, it is also believed to reduce the stimulating effect of caffeine. So next time you want to enjoy a cup of coffee without getting an extra buzz, try to add a pinch of cardamon in the ground coffee before brewing.


V. Butter & Coconut Oil

Butter coffee (Bulletproof coffee) is a popular keto drink that contains coffee, butter and coconut oil. It is a huge trend among keto dieters since it is believed to slow the spike in energy levels associated with normal coffee-drinking and make you feel full longer (up to 6 hours). Be advised that while it is absolutely delicious (no doubt about that), yet it is still packed with calories and fat.


VI. Peanut Butter

Peanut butter coffee is another popular keto drink, simply add a spoon of peanut butter in your Americano to give it a slight smoother sweet flavor and peanut butter aroma. Or make a proper peanut butter coffee with bananas, ice and sweetener for an ultimate coffee experience.


VII .Condensed milk

You can make popular Vietnamese coffee (or a slightly unauthentic version of it) by adding a little bit of condensed milk in your café long. Adding the condensed milk to the coffee will create a silky, smooth and sweet beverage, just perfect for when you crave something sweet.

Ice-cream coffee or Affogato al Caffè is a classic Italian dessert (coffee beverage). Adding an espresso to the ice-cream will definitely enhance your coffee experience. It is a super easy and incredibly delicious sweet little treat you have to make once you get your coffee maker.


IX. Lemon

Coffee with lemon is a new healthy trend helping you to burn calories and save a couple of minutes in the morning by combining a black coffee with a lemon water into one deliciously healthy drink. Add a slice of lemon or lemon juice into your morning coffee to give it a Vitamin C boost and refreshing citrus flavor.


XI. Sparkling Water

Sparkling coffee (coffee seltzer) became an extremely popular around the coffee shops last summer and it is still a great popular way to drink coffee, especially during a hot summer day.
